Cassie Nightingale along with her daughter, Grace, are both witches living in a small town called Middleton. One day notorious author, Jessica, and her editor Sean come to Middleton Town. While on their way, a socking storm interferes with their cell reception and forces them to stay with Cassie at Grey’s House B&B. When Jessica saw the grounds she was confident it was the Mason Bay where she could hold her first reading of “The Enchantress Unites” which is the last book in her series. Everything seems to go perfect until unexpected issues arise which include, a cauldron fire, multiple boyfriend’s trying to impress their girl friends, Martha the passive aggressive reporter choosing cupcake’s, a disgruntled reporter, and some unique sledgehammer work. Eventually Sean and Jessica feel that they won’t have a chance to do a reading in peace in NY while Cassie has to single handedly put all these problems to rest. Let’s find out if she manages to do it.
The movie is part of the TV series, Good Witch, and serves as the beginning for season 3. However, what is fascinating about this movie is that it attracts even those people who do not watch the TV show. This movie introduces the viewers to the characters without providing them with cumbersome details that would annoy the die-hard fans. Notably, there is no explanation that Cassie has powers that allow her to make things happen. To new viewers, it may just appear like a series of coincidences. It is delightful that all items, words, and people are all interrelated and are finally wrapped up neat little bow. It would be wonderful for the characters, Jessica and Sean, to be a part of the main cast. Hallmark and Good Witch fans will enjoy this movie, however, they will be disappointed that season 3 won’t be coming out until 2017. Time to prepare for the binge watching.
